California BSIS Power to Arrest - Part A - $20

  • Power to Arrest Course

  • This course is required to issue Security Guard Registration in California.

  • Self-paced online modules consisting of videos, text, and narration audio.

  • Detailed instructions on applying for your guard card with BSIS upon course completion are included.

  • Course fees do not include BSIS or live scan fees.

  • Part B, the BSIS Appropriate Use Of Force topic, is not included with Part A. To complete the guard card or PSO application training requirements, students must complete Part A online and then purchase and complete Part B. You may also take Part B with another training provider.

Online California BSIS Guard 32h Training - $50

  • 32 hours of training in security officer skills must be completed within the first six (6) months of registration.

    • 16 hours of those training hours are required within 30 days. The remaining 16 hours are required within six months.

  • Includes the BSIS Mandatory Courses:

    • Public Relations

    • Observation & Documentation

    • Communication and its Significance

    • Liability / Legal Aspects
